Here’s a set of essential data required Program for Daily adding a product, along with a detailed explanation of each field, when to use it, and how.

  • Product Name: Enter the exact name or title of the product as it will be added to the program’s database.

  • Product Description: Once you enter the product name, you’ll find that it’s also reflected in the description field. Here, you can add extra notes to differentiate between similar products. For example, Sunny oil comes in various types and sizes. To distinguish between them, you can specify “Sunny corn oil” or “Sunny sunflower oil,” and indicate the different sizes for each type.

  • Barcode: Scan the barcode on the product using a barcode reader, and it will automatically appear in the field. Alternatively, you can enter it manually. You’ll notice a “+” sign next to the barcode field, allowing you to add additional barcodes for the same product. This is useful for products with multiple variants but the same price.

For instance, the Program for Daily can recognize that all products with the same price are Pepsi, even if they have different barcodes for different varieties. This way, you can unify products of the same type that have multiple barcodes.

Quantity: This field is for entering the number of units available for this particular item.

  • Example: If you’re adding 10 boxes of screws, you would enter “10” here.

Supplier: This is a dropdown menu where you select the supplier who provides this item to your store. This information is stored in the database for future reference and can be used to generate reports related to specific suppliers.

  • Example: You might select “ABC Hardware” as the supplier for screws.

Category: This field is for categorizing the item. You can create custom categories to organize your products.

  • Example: “Screws” might fall under the category of “Hardware”.

Unit: This field specifies the unit of measurement for the item.

  • Example: For screws, the unit might be “box”.

Variable Price Lists: This option allows you to associate the item with price lists that fluctuate over time. Items linked to these lists are priced based on current market rates rather than fixed selling or buying prices.

  • Example: Gold jewelry might be linked to a variable price list due to fluctuating gold prices.

Purchase Price: The price at which the item is bought from the supplier.

  • Example: If you buy screws for $5 per box, you would enter “5” here.

Selling Price: The price at which the item is sold to customers.

  • Example: If you sell screws for $8 per box, you would enter “8” here.

Purchase Date: The date when the item was purchased. This information is used Program for Daily inventory management and to track product expiration dates.

Minimum Selling Price: The lowest price at which the item can be sold. This prevents accidental underpricing.

Minimum Stock: The minimum quantity of the item that should be maintained in stock. When the stock level falls below this threshold, the software will generate a notification.

Expiration Date: The date when the item’s shelf life ends. This is especially important for perishable goods.

Details: A field for adding additional notes or specifications about the item.

Include in Inventory: Indicates whether the item should be included in the overall inventory count.

Service: This option is for items that are considered services rather than products. For example, a service might be a delivery fee or installation service.

Show in Online Store: This determines whether the item will be listed in the online store associated with the software.

Tax Exempt: Indicates whether the item is exempt from sales tax.

Price Excludes Tax: This means the selling price does not include tax.

Price Includes Tax: This means the selling price includes tax. If this option is selected, you’ll need to specify the tax rate.

It is necessary to choose the addition ratio: Here, after choosing “price including added value,” the program asks us to enter the addition ratio so that the program can calculate the price of the original product to adjust sales and profit calculations.

Adding subunits: This section is specific to the subunits that you want to add to the item next to the basic unit, such as if you have an item that is sold by the piece and by the carton at the same time, and so on.

Sub-Units: Here, we select the sub-unit to be added from the previously added units.

Equivalent to the Base Unit: Here, we specify how many of the base units are equivalent to this sub-unit. For example, if the sub-unit is a “carton” and the base unit is a “box,” we specify how many “boxes” are contained within a “carton.” Then, we determine whether the sub-unit is larger or smaller than the base unit.

Unit Price: Here, we set the price for the sub-unit, which will typically be slightly lower than the combined price of the individual base units within the carton, similar to wholesale and retail pricing for products.

Unit Barcode: Here, we scan the barcode of the sub-unit using a barcode reader, if available. Otherwise, we manually enter a code for this product by pressing a barcode key dedicated to this sub-unit and affixing the corresponding barcode label to the carton. Then, we scan the barcode using the reader.

Upload Image: Here, we can upload an image Program for Daily this product that will appear on the sales page, in the item details, and also in the online store if this item is enabled for online sales.

Once you click ‘Save’, the item will be stored in the program’s database. You can repeat this process for other items. You will find this item added to the program’s database.

To do this, go to ‘Items’ from the side menu and then select ‘Items’.

A new page will open displaying all the items you have added to the store.

You can search by category, name, supplier, or warehouse (if you have multiple warehouses containing different products) as follows:
