Adding a classification
Adding classification to the Al Badr program for daily sales and store management is one of the things that should not be ignored, as the classifications are the administrative divisions of your store through which you can organize your store and your customers will be able to reach their desired products easily. This article will explain the method of adding a classification to the Al Badr program for daily sales.

To do this, you must go to the side menu, then to Categories, then choose the category, then click on it as shown below.
After that, a new page will open for you through which you can add the categories you want, whether main or subcategories, so that the categories can then be listed under each appropriate category.

Here, you can view all the existing categories that you’ve previously entered for your store. Additionally, you can add an unlimited number of categories based on your business needs. To do this, simply click on “New Category” and a new table will open where you can enter the following data.

Here you can add a category name, upload an image if available, and set its display order.
If no order is specified, categories will be displayed in the order they were added.
Next, choose the category type. It can be a main category followed by subcategories, independent of other categories, or a subcategory linked to a previously added main category, as shown above.
Following that, there are three options you can enable or disable, each with a specific purpose:
- Show online: This means that the category, along with its contents and items, will be displayed in your online store. This feature is not available for the offline version.
- Show sub-units: This indicates that if a product has multiple units (e.g., a piece and a carton), both units will be displayed in the store and within this category. If not, there’s no need to enable this option.
- Hide in sales: This allows you to hide the entire category from the sales page, preventing it from appearing during sales transactions. This might be useful for various reasons, such as temporarily discontinuing a category.
Once you’ve made these settings, click “Save” to successfully save the category.
Please note that main categories will be hierarchically organized, and all subcategories under a main category will be neatly listed beneath it. However, they will be slightly indented to distinguish them from the main category, as illustrated in the image below for a sample store category.
